I know it is all the Internet rage to point out the obvious that Sarah Palin is an idiot, but this one is too precious to pass up. When asked by Katie Couric what newspapers or magazines she regularly reads, Sarah answered, “Um, all of ’em…”

ALL OF ‘EM?!? Seriously, it’s like watching a remedial high school student trying to bullshit her way through a book report. So Sarah, who was your favorite character from Romero and Juliet? “Uh, all of ’em.”

Can you at least just pick a name. Surely you have heard of Time? Or US News and World Report? Maybe the Wall Street Journel?

COURIC: And when it comes to establishing your world view, I was curious, what newspapers and magazines did you regularly read, before you were tapped for this, to stay informed and to understand the world?
PALIN: I’ve read most of them again with a great appreciation for the press for the media, I mean…
COURIC: Like what ones specifically? I’m curious that you…
PALIN: Um, all of ’em, any of ’em that um have been in front of me over all these years, um…
COURIC: Can you name any of them?

Oh crap! Don’t have an answer! Quick, say something folksy. Deflect! Deflect! Only liberal media elite would think things like newspaper and magazines should be common knowledge.

PALIN: I have a vast variety of sources where we get our news too. Alaska isn’t a foreign country where it’s kind of suggested it seems like, wow how could you keep in touch with what the rest of Washington, DC may be thinking and doing, when you live up there in Alaska. Believe me, Alaska is like a microcosm of America.

Smooth, Sarah! Hmm, don’t remember anyone bringing up keeping up with what Washington D.C is thinking…maybe just keeping up with the world.
